Oh separation!

Lea wasn’t feeling too well for a while. Neither was I. And then there was Mara who wasn’t too happy about us not feeling well. Lots of sleepless nights in a row didn’t make it any better.

Eventually this all led to a point where I called for backup. Which meant Lea would spend a night at grandma & grandpa who live nearby. Mara stayed with me.

Oh separation! Tragically heartbreaking. However, it must be said we all got a good night’s sleep. Finally.

Next day we made sure the twins were reunited as soon as they had woken up. A reunion that wasn’t anything like I had imagined…

Lea didn’t even notice Mara when she entered the room. Mara seem to think: let’s get the heck outta here!

So probably:
1. twins love to get undivided attention.
2. toddlers have their own way of showing how much they missed each other

Tennis, twinnies… what’s in a twug?

And then there were two. Two twugs. A month ago Suzanne won the first twug.
The second twug is in the making. In this twog I’ll give you sneak preview!

Corry was the lucky one. She’s one of our twog-followers and therefore automatically a contestant in the WuzzelTwins Twug-lottery. The twins decided in their own way Corry should have the twug.

A quick glimpse on her Facebook-page taught me Corry really loves to play tennis. With that in mind I came up with this:

The twug is gonna look… well… twuggy. I hope Corry and her new twug are gonna be best buddies.

What’s that? You want your own twug, like Corry?
OK. At the end of this month there will be another lottery. All you have to do is start following this twog by leaving your email address in the ‘Follow this awesome twog’-box. If you’re already a follower, you’re automatically a contestant. You don’t have to do anything. Unless…

Lotterybowl

… you wanna have a better chance to win:
1. Tell your friends to follow this awesome twog too.
2. Once they’ve actually hit the Following-button, make sure you leave their names in the comments below, so I’ll know it was you who promoted my twog to them.

Let’s say I get 2 more followers thanks to you: mister X and mister Y. In that case, as a thank you I’ll write down your name on two more pieces of paper to put in the lottery-bowl. Which evidently will increase your chance to win enormously. Mister X and mister Y will of course also automatically become contestants themselves. Their names will be put in the bowl only once. Unless they follow the same procedure as described above.

Easy peasy. Happy Twog/Twug Tuesday everyone!

The fun has only just begun

If you ask me, a baby monitor with camera is an absolute MUST, especially when you have twins. And here’s why:

They’re always communicating. One way or another. Once we’ve put them to bed at night, they refuse to sleep within the hour. But come to think of it, I can hardly blame them. Would you go to sleep if you had a super funny twin sister who kept you company at night?

As the baby monitor will never fail to entertain us, we don’t even need to turn on our tv anymore. Just watching our twins is more than enough to make us laugh. Until they finally fall asleep that is. But that’s only a matter of time…

I’ll try and capture more of these little twin tales on screen in the near future.

By the way: in the morning they let us know they’re awake by jiggling the Ikea step stool back and forth. Just like you can see in the first video. The squeaking sound of it really sets your teeth on edge… aaaargh!! But hey, well, maybe it’s just a temporary thing. And it sure beats the sound of crying twins.

Have a good weekend everyone!
